Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatrist to join our mental health team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various psychiatric disciplines, including pediatric psychiatry and experience working with diverse populations. This role involves providing comprehensive mental health care, conducting assessments, and developing treatment plans for patients across different age groups, including children, adolescents, and adults. The Psychiatrist will work in both inpatient and outpatient settings, utilizing evidence-based practices to deliver high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine mental health needs.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient evaluations and ongoing assessments.
Provide psychotherapy services, including cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and crisis management.
Administer psychopharmacological treatments as necessary while monitoring patient responses to medications.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care for patients with complex needs.
Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.
Engage in telehealth services as needed to expand access to care for patients.
Participate in data collection and analysis to enhance treatment outcomes and program effectiveness.
Provide addiction counseling and support for patients dealing with substance use disorders.
Offer specialized care for individuals with developmental disabilities, PTSD, and geriatric populations.
Requirements
Medical degree (MD or DO) with completed residency in Psychiatry; post-residency experience preferred.
Proven experience in pediatric psychiatry or working with children is highly desirable.
Familiarity with inpatient and outpatient behavioral health settings is essential.
Proficiency in mental health counseling techniques, including crisis management and patient care strategies.
Experience with medical terminology, medical records management, and documentation practices.
Knowledge of therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and addiction counseling is beneficial.
Previous experience working with individuals experiencing PTSD or developmental disabilities is a plus.
